We provide residential and commercial painting across greater Philadelphia, including Center City, the Main Line, South Philly, Chestnut Hill, Queen Village, and Manayunk, plus Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania and Burlington County NJ, and surrounding communities across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 02. Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Shades of Ray Painting, LLC is a licensed and insured contractor operating in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are happy to provide proof of licensing and insurance before your project begins.
03. What types of painting projects do you take on?
Our work spans interior residential painting, exterior painting and trim, and preparation and restoration. That includes historic moulding and trim, brick and stucco sealing, wood siding preservation, deck and porch staining, wallpaper removal, plaster stabilization, and skim-coating.
04. How do I get an estimate?
Use the estimate form on this page or call the master painter line directly. Ray reviews every request personally and provides a written estimate within 24 business hours. Estimates are free and carry no obligation.
05. Do you work with historic and older homes?
Yes. A large share of our work involves historic Philadelphia rowhomes and older estates. We respect the architectural legacy of these properties and tailor our preparation and materials to their substrates, including low-VOC formulations and dustless preparation where appropriate.
06. What are your hours of operation?
We operate Monday through Saturday with 24-hour continuous service, including flexible night and off-hours scheduling for busy households and commercial properties. Sunday we are closed.
07. How should I prepare my home before the crew arrives?
We will walk you through preparation specific to your project. In general, clearing the immediate work area of fragile and valuable items helps us move efficiently. We handle heavier furniture moving, surface protection, and cleanup as part of the job.
08. Do you offer color consultation?
Yes. Bespoke color consultation is part of our interior painting service. We help you select palettes that complement your home's architecture, natural light, and existing finishes.
